Teuk Thla is the area around Russian Boulevard with most of the main car dealerships in the city just before the international airport. This article compares the area with the Kambol district of Phnom Penh.
Infrastructure in Kambol and Teuk Thla Phnom Penh
Situated close to the airport Sangkat Teuk Thla has some of the highest property prices in Cambodia. This has encouraged the arrival of many condo projects and boreys, including Prince International Plaza, Arakawa Residence, The Royal Borey, The Royal Condominium and The Grand. The area is also heavily congested with traffic along both the Russian Boulevard and Street 2004 (Northbridge Road). The southern part of Teuk Thla along Northbridge Road is industrial with factories and big trucks. Despite its prime location the area is not blessed with many shops with most people traveling to Sen Sok for its malls.
Khan Kambol has the completed Win Win Boulevard ring road to provide residents of Khan Kambol with direct access to western, northern and soon southern districts of Phnom Penh. It also has the new Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville expressway, opening up Cambodia’s southern beaches. Khan Kambol has its own Williams Plaza and Romdul Market both located in Borey Williams, as well as quick access to the major shopping malls in the Sen Sok area.
Facilities in Kambol and Teuk Thla Phnom Penh
Teuk Thla has Northbridge International School and Northbridge Communities, Royal Phnom Penh Hospital and the Cambodian Country Club.
Khan Kambol is close to the Royal Phnom Penh Golf Club and the Royal Phnom Penh Hospital.
Conclusion
Kambol is a quieter area than Sangkat Teuk Thla and suffers less from traffic congestion. Property prices in Kambol are lower than in Teuk Thla due to the district being slightly further from the heart of Phnom Penh. Kambol has single family homes available with large lots at much more affordable prices.
